“In 2022 I sold a firm that had purchased millions of employment and income verifications. I paid. I received the file. The employee was rarely if ever notified when I asked. Many employers I dealt with received nothing from the fee.”
Up to $500,000 a year in revenue share.
Verifiers pay to confirm who works for you and who used to. With MyEmployment, a share of each paid verification comes back to your company.
A difference employees can actually see.
- Immediate visibility
The employee sees the requester, the stated purpose, and what was requested.
- The right to approve or deny
An enrolled employee decides on each request as it arrives, and can set defaults in advance so routine requests move without interruption.
- A documented record
Requests, decisions and outcomes are recorded for the employee and for you.
Incoming employment verification, answered.
Does MyEmployment cost employers anything?
No. There is no platform fee. Verifiers pay for each verification, and your company keeps its HRIS.
What does a verification cost the verifier?
$59 for a standard employment verification and $69 for an income verification.
How does an employer make money on employment verifications?
When a verifier pays for a verification completed from your company's records on MyEmployment, your company receives a share of that fee.
How is the revenue share calculated?
As a percentage of each verification fee. The percentage is negotiated with your company, and the total depends on your headcount and how often your current and former employees are verified.
How much revenue share can an employer receive?
A large employer can receive up to $500K a year. What your company receives depends on its headcount and verification volume, and every agreement is negotiated individually.
Is there a standard revenue share program?
No. There is no rate card. Every employer agreement is negotiated individually.
How long does the revenue share last?
It is paid monthly for as long as your company is on the platform.
What does Finance actually receive each month?
A monthly payment for as long as your company is on the platform, with a reconciliation of the completed verifications behind it. Terms are modeled against the employer's own headcount and verification volume during the introductory process. There is no published rate card.
Do former employees stay in the program after they leave?
Yes. Former employees remain eligible for incoming employment and income verification for the length of the employer agreement. There is no separate cutoff at termination. Enrollment is still what gives them notice, a decision and a record. The employer pays nothing and the former employee pays nothing.
How do we estimate our number?
Use the calculator above. Enter your headcount, and if you have it, the verification volume from your current provider's report. The calculator shows gross verification fees. Your share is set in your agreement.
